According to News 1 on the 16th, KIA will depart for the United States on the 22nd and 23rd to prepare for the 2025 season and hold spring camps in the United States and Japan from the 25th to March 5.
Sixty players, including 22 coaching staff and 38 players, will participate in the spring camp. The team consists of 18 pitchers, three catchers, 10 infielders and seven outfielders. The team will conduct physical, technical and tactical training under the "three-day training one-day rest" system at the Great Park Baseball Complex in Irvine, California, from the 25th.
He will depart from the U.S. on Aug. 18 and arrive in Korea. He will go to Okinawa, Japan, on Oct. 20 and practice in earnest at Keen Stadium from Aug. 21 to Mar. 4.
Starting with a practice game against NPB's Hiroshima Toyokaf on March 22, the team plans to elevate its sense of play in the actual game. Afterwards, the team will play four practice games with KBO League teams before returning to Korea.
Ahead of the spring camp, Chairman Chung provided all KIA players and staff with business seats when boarding round-trip flights to the U.S.
In response, an official from KIA said, "We expect this support to be of great help in minimizing fatigue caused by long-distance travel and adapting quickly to the time difference."
